The main characters:

Nathan: artist, persistent, determined, restless

Evelyn: strong, affected, sad, persistent, decisive

Carter: protective, friendly, chauffeur, good, loving

Derek: Suspicious

I can’t get her out of my head.

I tried to forget about her. I tried to move on. But the longer we’re apart the more I realize forgetting Evelyn is just not an option for me.

What we shared—the passion, the connection—it still burns inside my soul, and no amount of time or distance can extinguish that. I want her back. I want her by my side, and I don’t give a shit about the risks or consequences.

I’m going to find her, and I’m going to make her realize that there’s just one place in this entire goddamn world she needs to be…and that’s with me.

My thoughts:

The continuation of Nathan and Evelyn's story is as tense as the first one. More secrets, new surprises - as bitter and sweet - and the challenges that they have to overcome.

Evelyn had to leave. She had to clear her mind and decide what she wants in the future. But she still doesn't have peace from all the secrets and problems. The worst fight is for love.

Nathan is lost without Evelyn. Although everything he did, he did for her own good, and in order to protect her, all though all the truth came out all wrong and in the worst time.

But that doesn't mean that he will not do anything to get her back. He doesn't exist without her. Even if he will have to fight again for her affection, attention, and love, he will.

The fight will not be easy, as a mysterious Derek appears, who wants all Evelyn's attention. What does he want? Where is he from? What are its purposes?

Nathan knows that something is wrong and is afraid of the worst. He finds out that the struggle for the love of his life will not be the easiest.

The conclusion of Nathan and Evelyn's story is tense to the end. Of course, this is not the end of the whole series, and I am looking forward to seeing other heroes and their stories.

The main characters:

Nathan: kind, loving, persistent, cavalier, he knows what he wants, artist, unhappy

Evelyn: Strong, persistent, unhappy, decisive, kind, good, witty, sarcastic

Carter: protective, friendly, chauffeur, good, loving

Power and wealth are what drives my family, which is why I’ve always had a strained relationship with them—especially with my sister Hannah. We just never seemed to care about the same things in life.

The day I returned home, I didn’t expect anything to be different…but I was wrong.
My family is falling apart at the seams. My sister’s marriage is hanging by a thread, and I’m stuck in the middle of it. Why? Because I’m dangerously attracted to my brother-in-law.

Nathan is loving, kind, and completely off limits. But no matter how hard I try, how guilty I feel, I can’t stop myself from wanting him.

And to make things worse, Nathan is the kind of man who knows what he wants, and he’s making it blatantly clear that what he wants…is me.

My thoughts:

This book was my first book of this writer and rightly said that I really like this series so far. It's not just romantic but also lies, scams and who don't like cheating, then it's better to avoid the book because it contains this topic.

Evie returns home after a long time. What's she expecting? To be equal or even worse than leaving it's not what she expects, though she is not surprised when she sees that things have not changed. Maybe they are even worse.

Her sister didn't even say hello, but just told her the rules that she must follow and that's it. She has the only support in her Nana, with whom she has a special bond.

But she is still lonely in a big house, where she is so cold and lonely. Then there's Nathan, her sister's husband with whom she has a special friendly bond. Is that really all that this is? All these years they have texted each other, keeping in contact and one night in the basement changes their fate, their lives.

Nathan suffers in his marriage and Evie is the only one he likes. Texting with her calmed him down and he could disconnect it for a little while. When she returned, everything changed. Emotions, longings, and intrigues begin to shout over them.

Slowly new truths are coming out, conspiracies, and deceptions are coming to an end. Evie no longer knows who to trust, who has betrayed her and who else will betray her. She wonders if it's worth staying, to fight, even she has to do all that alone.

A tense story full of intrigue, a conspiracy, forbidden love and, above all, a search for the truth. Who? Where? And why?

But is easy to find the truth and herself in the environment that she is? Is it better to let everything go and disappear?

The main characters:

Hope: strong, fearful, determined, kind, shy, hurt, wounded

Leo: inexhaustible, determined, persistent, wounded, protective

Jackson: funny, kind, protective

Lies. Betrayal. Two hearts broken. One on the path of revenge. The other finding their way.

Make it out alive.
That was my only goal.
I succeeded.
But that doesn’t mean I’m ready to face the world.
Until Leo…
He’s shown me there is hope.
I can find happiness again.
There is a way.

They thought they broke me.
All they did was create a monster.
One who now has all the power.
Revenge is sweet, but it’s even better when it’s sought justly.
When all is said and done, they will answer for what they did to me, and to Hope.

Can two broken and battered hearts find refuge in each other, or are some wounds too deep to heal?

My thoughts:

¨So, what are you wishing for?¨

¨To be happy.¨

It is very difficult for me to write an opinion for this book because it is definitely one of the very good ones I read this year.

It's hard to describe all this agony, sadness, torture, ruthlessness and definitely power, in a few sentences.

Hope and Leo ... both powerful, with difficult past and with such a struggle and willpower in themselves that they gave me the courage to go to fight for what I want.

Hope barely escaped. Far away from everything bad, but that does not mean she is safe. It only means that she will have to fight more, trust more and give more courage in what she wants than anyone else.

The past is terrible, the future is unknown, but that does not mean that she lost hope.

Leo is fighting for justice. And he doesn't care if his hands would be covered with blood in the end. He doesn't want anyone to survive what he has survived, and he will do the anything that this will not happen to no one. But there is one person who wants to torture the most and he can't find him. But he will not give up.

One glance at her gives him a feeling that something is on her. Something pulls him to help her. But is he right in helping her? Will he really help or make it a runaway?

Can she save his and her demons and win?

Can these two broken and battered hearts love or wounds are too deep to be able to start again?

Will his fight be in vain in the end?

An emotional journey of two broken hearts, which will definitely not leave you with no tears.

¨Where there is no vision, there is hope.¨

The main characters:

Harlow: Persistent, fighting, kind, sassy, decisive, broken

Miles: soldier, suffers, fights, hard working, strong

Winston: protective, friendly

They say everything happens for a reason- that there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. For the longest time I didn’t think that was true. I had stumbled around in the dark for so many years that I didn’t think I would ever find my way out. But when I finally did, it came in the most unexpected way.

Miles Hollins had been my brother’s best friend for as long as I could remember. We didn’t like each other much growing up. Or rather, we couldn’t stand each other. But after ten years of being gone, a lot had changed.

He wasn’t the same boy I remembered. I wasn’t the same girl either. So much had happened.
I moved away and got married.
Miles joined the military.
We both returned home broken in our own way.

I struggled to find my place in my new life. Miles struggled just to get through the day. But together we slowly began to heal. I quieted his demons and he gave me a sense of belonging. For a while that was enough.

But this is real life, and in real life nothing stays perfect forever. In real life not every story ends with a happily ever after. Sometimes the scars we carry are just too deep.

I promised him I would fight.
He promised me I would lose.
I’ll do everything in my power to prove him wrong. Because it’s when you find the one thing you can’t live without, that you truly find yourself.

My thoughts:

She's separated. Almost.

He's a soldier. Was.

The army is stressful for many soldiers. Especially if they see horror stuff or that they suffered terrible things. Miles is one of those who experienced both. He lost his friends and made a mistake he regrets and now, after so many years, those mistakes always accompany him in his nightmares.

Harlow suffered in the marriage, but long after she was not happy she still stayed in it. Why? She doesn't even know why, maybe she was just waiting for the right moment. For a moment, something happens. And then she comes home.

None of them are the same. Each of them with their problems, past and secrets. He opened the tattoo salon at home and she, but she still lokking for herself. She's looking for her place under the sun, because the ex of hers did not give her a lot of opportunities to discover herself.

Miles and Harlow have been known since their young age, although they were not friends, they were hanging out because of her brother. And when after a long time they see again, something moves between them. No one of them knows what it would be, but it definitely leads them to a new path. The search path where them will find themselfs and where them will discover each other.

The book is the emotional journey of a soldier who wants to pick up, but he doesn't know how. There is nobody whom he would trust, someone who would just sit beside him and say nothing and would feel like someone listens to him. In any case, the emotional book with brave and fighting heroes who fight for themselves and for a better life, even when they think it is not worth it and would like to give up.

The main characters:

Stef: working, persistent, fighter, friendly

James: a liar, persistent

Jess: A fighter, kind

Pen: confident, fighter

Nat: a mysterious, sad, persistent, fighter

Rule number one: don’t sleep with the clients...

Escorting was supposed to be a short-term job to pay the bills. It wasn’t meant to lead to heartache. For Stefanie Wiley, love was never in the cards—until she met James Moore.

Being an escort was taboo but falling for James was downright scandalous.

He blew through her life like a tornado, leaving a path of destruction in his wake—a path she isn’t sure she can recover from.

Second chances aren’t something Stefanie believes in, but when truths are unveiled and lies are exposed, she has to decide whether to guard her heart or take a leap of faith.

My thoughts:

Oh how i love this series although it's hardly the second book in it i loved it from the first page in the first book to the last one in now second book. I likeed the heroine in the first boo kan now Stef that is is a fighting and definitely a persistent woman. This book keept me on the end of my chair and there were moments that i thought that …. Oh, can't finish this sentance.

After a bad childhood, she tries to build a better future for herself. Although she must be an escort to pay the bills, she does it diligently and with her head raised. She set up her own rule that she plans to stick to it. But when she meets James, this rule is all gone.

Since when James first saw Stef, he would do everything for her. There is a spark between them, which can not be ignored. But he is surrounded by a secret that he doesn't know how Stef will accept it. Will she forgive him and will love be enough to move forward? What about when she reveals her painful secret, what then?

In any case, this is one emotional journey, which is interwoven with a few violence moments. It's a tense journey in which I enjoyed and I look forward to continuing and getting to know this other cheerful, working and interesting characters.
